Hi, we are getting conflicting messages around who needs to apply for a director ID in the scenario where a person was a director on 31 October 2021 and has since resigned with no intention of being a director again, or have lost capacity. We are being told that these people still need to apply for a director ID.

Yes my understanding is need a director ID if a person was a director on 31 October 2021 even if they resign as a director after this date and are not going to be a director ever again.
If any other member can clarify or add to this please let the forum know.
