I got a new SMSF to audit. This is the first year of doing audit for this SMSF. I noticed that the fund is a complaining fund showing on SMSF ABN lookup. But the fund's name is XYZ Family Trust. This is the first time I am seeing a fund which does not have Superfund / Superannuation Fund / SMSF at the end of it's name. I guess it's not an issue as long as the fund is a complaining fund. What do you say?

Hi Ashfaque
I agree it is unusual but no requirement to have Superfund or Superannuation Fund or SMSF at end of a Fund's name. There is a number of Funds on Super Fund lookup with Family Trust in their name.
I agree not an issue if fund is a complying Fund.
Thanks
